Hakuho Undergoes Knee Surgery
The surgery, focused on his right knee, would occur due to ongoing pain that would force the yokozuna to pull himself from an ongoing regional tour.
Per a source to his Miyagino stable, Hakuho would need a bone chip pulled from the knee last week, hoping to bounce back in 2018.
Hakuho and his stablemaster Miyagino, is scheduled to speak later this week to see if the yokozuna will be able to compete at the Kyushu Grand Sumo Tournament set for November.
