Haney And Garcia Skip Pre-Fight Face-Off; Both Ready For Battle

Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia’s final pre-fight presser took place ahead of their clash on Saturday.

Haney defends his WBC Junior Welterweight Belt as Garcia seeks to secure his first world title. The build-up has been clouded by mass controversy from both fighters. Garcia has admitted to smoking weed and drinking alcohol. He has also had to undergo a mental health evaluation from the New York State Athletic Commission, who have cleared him to fight.

Haney has accused Garcia of attacking his Islamic faith and for being on cocaine. He also pushed the boxer during their face-off at the Empire State Building. Haney’s father, Bill Haney, then vowed his son would commit a ‘legal homicide’ in the ring. Despite worries over the fight not selling, both fighters are ready to make a big statement. There were a few heated words, with both men leaving without having a face-off. Here are the main moments from the presser.
