Hari-Gerges To Headline GLORY 51

GLORY 51 has its main event as Badr Hari will face off against a man he knows quite well, Hesdy Gerges.

The two faced off for the first time in 2010, when Hari would knock Gerges down in the second round, and eventually would be disqualified for kicking Gerges while he was grounded.

With the result of the original fight causing many Dutch fans clamoring for a rematch, seven years later they will have their rematch in Rotterdam

Hari, a 17 year veteran has attained gold in K-1 and the It’s Showtime promotion, as well as scoring knockouts over names such as Peter Aerts, and current UFC heavyweight contender, Alistair Overeem.

Gerges began training at 15 years old and took quickly to the sport. After turning pro in 2003, the Egyptian-Dutch slugger never looked back, squaring off against the heavyweight division’s best including Rico Verhoeven, Semmy Schilt, Daniel Ghita, Jamal Ben Saddik, Benjamin Adegbuyi, Ismael Londt and Anderson Silva.
