Harrison To Face Brittney Elkin In MMA Debut
Two-time Olympic gold medalist Kayla Harrison announced recently that she would be making her MMA debut at June’s PFL event in Chicago.
Per a report from MMA Fighting, Harrison will face Brittney Elkin on June 21st, at PFL 2. The fight is set to take place at 155 pounds, which is Harrison’s walking around weight.
Harrison rose to prominence in 2012, when she became the first American judoka to win a gold medal at the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Harrison would add a second gold at the 2016 games in Rio de Janeiro. Recently Harrison joined American Top Team, to train at their facility in Coconut Creek, Fla.
Elkin has gone 2-2 om her last four fights, and is coming off a loss to Amanda Bell at Bellator 181 in July 2017.
