Harrison’s “Ronda Complex” Motivates Her

As Kayla Harrison furthers her career as a mixed martial artist, she recently reflected on when she and former UFC champion and current WWE champion Ronda Rousey.

Harrison and Rousey would first link up when a 16-year-old Harrison would move in with Rousey as the two would train under Jimmy Pedro in Boston.

Living with Rousey only caused one concern, having Rousey “beat the crap out of” her on the mats.

“But it made me into the strong fighter I am today, so I’m grateful for it,” Harrison told ThePostGame.com.

After Harrison would collect gold in 2012 and 2016, Harrison would transition to MMA, undefeated in the PFL’s 155-pound division, eyeing a title in 2019.

“I probably wouldn’t have a job if it wasn’t for Ronda,” Harrison said of her former roommate.

“I’ve always called it my ‘Ronda complex’: Anything she does, I have to do.”
