Hatton Says Fury Is Close To Top Form

Less than a month after his one-sided return to the ring, Tyson Fury’s friend, Ricky Hatton believes it won’t be long until the former world champion returns to form.

Fury returned last month in a four round drubbing of converted cruiserweight, Sefer Seferi, in his first fight in almost three years.

“He needs a couple more TV fights where he gets his confidence back,” Hatton said in an recent interview.

“He’s had demons to battle through. I don’t think we should have expected fireworks and there will be tougher tests.”

Fury’s showboating in the early rounds left Hatton a little disappointed in the self-appointed “Gypsy King,”

“I wish he’d have laid off the showboating,” Hatton added.

“That’s not really up my street. It’s better to wait until you’re boxing someone’s head off before doing that.

“He needs to look the business and then start showboating when he has found his form.”

Fury returns against an unannounced opponent on August 18th.
