Hearn Confirms Wilder-Joshua Talks Are Progressing – ‘See If We Can Close Terms’

Eddie Hearn is confident that a fight between Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder can be made.

Matchroom Boxing’s Hearn has already confirmed that talks are taking place to have a four-man-heavyweight clash involving Tyson Fury, Oleksandr Usyk, Joshua and Wilder.

The former two could face each other, as Wilder and Joshua would square off in the hope that the winner of each bout could fight next.

And after having flown to Saudi Arabia, Hearn talked up the chances of the fight happening.

“We just made for clear to them. Our message was, ‘AJ is ready for all of those fights and is happy to agree to a Deontay Wilder fight in December. And we’ll see if we can close terms in the next couple of weeks,” Hearn

Much in the same way, Joshua has shown that Wilder is the fight he wants. The Brit had recently confirmed speculation that talks with Wilder were ongoing through his social media.

“That’s what’s happening, you know what’s going on. It’s public news we’re getting it down, throwing it down in December,” Joshua

With that being said, the boxing community rallied behind the idea of the fight.
