Hearn Invites Wilder To Negotiate For AJ Fight

On Tuesday, the long-awaited rematch between WBC world heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury, will have a longer wait, as negotiations stalled between both teams.

Now, Anthony Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, has opened the door for a much anticipated unification fight between the two later this year.

Hearn cites Fury’s signing with Top Rank and ESPN as the key hurdle that would stop the rematch of the December 1st, 2018 draw.

“It’s disappointing for everyone but possibly good for us,” Hearn told Yahoo Sports of Fury’s decision to postpone the rematch.

“If I’m Deontay Wilder, I get on the phone and make the AJ [Anthony Joshua] undisputed fight as soon as possible.”
