Hearn Making Massive Offer To Davis For Farmer Fight
Eddie Hearn has a few million reasons why Gervonta Davis should pay attention to him and Tevin Farmer on Friday night.
Farmer fights in his hometown of Philadelphia in a defense of his IBF super featherweight title against Jono Carroll on March 15th, and with a win, he hopes to get his showdown with Davis later this year.
“I’m gonna make Gervonta Davis a f***ing massive offer, and I might even do it on air [on DAZN] on Friday,” Hearn told a group of reporters Sunday following DAZN’s card at Turning Stone Resort & Casino. “Because I don’t believe he’s seen [the offers]. So, I’ve made two offers now to Mayweather Promotions, [to] which they’ve publicly said, ‘He’s not fighting on DAZN.’ But does he actually know about ‘em? You know what I mean?”
“I’ll tell you (how much it will be) on Friday. But he’s gotta beat Jono Carroll yet. Jono Carroll’s my man. I’m rooting for the little Irishman. But yeah, I will make him a public offer and it will be massive.”
When asked by a reporter if $5 million was the number, Hearn wavered.
“That’s a good number,” Hearn said, before noting that Farmer will make, “a lot as well – not five. But it’ll be all right. He’s made great money.”
