Hearn Preparing For Potential Brown-Paul Clash
As his brother Jake is ready for his own fight on Matchroom Boxing against AnEsonGib, YouTuber Logan Paul is preparing for his next boxing fight. Over the past few weeks, rumors have been circulating that Logan (1-0) will be facing off against former NFL star Antonio Brown. This is something Matchroom Boxing’s Eddie Hearn has stated is in the stages of being made.
“We’ve made two offers now to Antonio Brown, and we’re negotiating a fight at the moment,” Hearn told ESPN. “I don’t know if it’s going to happen, but we’re working on it. Obviously, it’s a fight that DAZN is very serious about, very excited about.”
A fight between Paul and Brown is very enticing to DAZN, who benefited from Paul’s last fight against KSI on November 9, 2019. According to Hearn, the first fight between the two drew 1.2 million PPV buys, and the second fight resulted in bigger numbers. In fact, Hearn stated the numbers were better in terms of viewership than Andy Ruiz Jr.’s upset of Anthony Joshua earlier this year. During the buildup, millions tuned in on YouTube for the press conferences, weigh-ins and other pre-fight events. Paul is up for a fight against Brown; the two have at least teased something brewing over social media.

“Logan Paul has agreed to terms with the fight,” Hearn continued. “Really, we’re just trying to tie up Antonio Brown’s end.”
Hearn went on to say that the proposed fight, which would be a seven-figure deal, is in place for April 25. That all depends on Brown’s situation. The former Pittsburgh Steeler forced a trade to the Oakland Raiders last March following a dispute with the Steelers. Following a number of controversies, including various social media posts, the Raiders released him.
Following an initial sexual assault accusation, the New England Patriots signed and released him. Another woman accused him of sexual misconduct, making the decision an easy one for the Patriots. Brown has since been training for what appears to be a boxing appearance.
No matter the offer, the fight is still in question of happening, especially with the latest controversy from Brown. According to USA TODAY, Brown was charged with burglary with battery, burglary of an unoccupied conveyance and criminal mischief. This comes after allegedly assaulting a moving-truck driver.
