Henry Cejudo Will Corner Petr Yan On One Condition
It looks like Petr Yan is in massive need of cornermen.
Since news broke that Yan’s team was denied U.S. visas, one of the first names that are rumored to substitute for his team is Henry Cejudo.
According to the reports earlier this week, the members of Yan’s corner were not permitted to enter the United States. They were not granted visas to get themselves eligible for UFC 273.
Yan is set to be involved in a rematch with bantamweight titleholder Aljamain Sterling, a match that has taken a year-long in the making.
Once the news broke out related to the Russian team’s visas, the 29-year-old has contacted Cejudo to help him in this matter. Both were involved in a conversation on Twitter in which the American shared his condition upon which he will agree to be Yan’s cornerman.
“Get me a booster seat and I’ll work your corner…you kneed me” Cejudo tweeted.
“I also have a condition, don’t try to mess around with your pathetic advice, just bring the water and ice bag between the rounds and we’re good to go,” Yan replied.
Both have their fair share of blaming and arguments over their social media accounts. Previously, Yan questioned Cejudo’s retirement timing and the 35-year-old teased him about his potential return to the octagon.
