UFC light heavyweight star Anthony Smith has affirmed how odd he feels about the USADA not testing Conor McGregor, and this has irked The Notorious.
Smith went in on the former double champ recently. He called the Irishman out for pulling himself out of the testing pool. McGregor has been out of action since 2021 summer when he broke his leg in his third fight against Dustin Poirier.
The light heavyweight star is of the view that Smith listed Chris Weidman and Anderson Silva, who sustained similar injuries in their time, never got the same treatment as McGregor when it comes to regular drug testing.
However, the Irishman did not hold back as he had a response to Smith’s statement.
McGregor posted a series of tweets, where he called Smith a “rat” and added that he has “given everything to the game.”
This rat spoke to weidman who’d the same horrific injury and is having severe complications still, is bothered that I was able to heal/return to a normal way of life. He, like many other rats in my game, would be happier if I wasn’t able to play with my children the same again. pic.twitter.com/TaMeYVzmOD

The audacity of this loser! @lionheartasmith you’re a loser. The % of the bones joining back after a break like this is so low. You think I give a fuck about anything else. I am the most tested fighter all time in combat sport. I give everything to this game.

The former two-division champ also went on to share a video of Smith where the latter could be seen walking out of the arena with a leg injury after the fight.
Hahahaah walk it off you little tick. Broken leg my bollox. Embarrassing! https://t.co/JevtXKWw8H

Not just Smith, many MMA fans have had a similar take on the matter, especially with McGregor looking more built in some of his latest Instagram posts.
Nonetheless, McGregor is expected to return to the octagon in the coming months. Justin Gaethje and Michael Chandler’s names have reportedly been floated as the potential opponents of the Irishman.
