Here’s Why Tyson Fury Vs. Anthony Joshua Is Off Once Again

Anthony Joshua and his manager Eddie Hearn were all in to take WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury’s proposal for the fight, but The Gypsy King has retracted the offer.

Just when it looked like the boxing community will get to witness the all-Brit super fight between Joshua and Fury, the fight has been scrapped once again even before becoming official.

In a video message, The Gypsy King declared that the fight is off because AJ did not sign the contract before 5 p.m. on Monday. This was Fury’s self-imposed deadline. AJ and his team are yet to respond to Fury’s public call.

“Well guys, it’s official, D-day has come and gone,” the undefeated heavyweight champ said in the video he posted on his social media accounts.

“It’s gone past 5pm Monday, no contract has been signed. It’s officially over for Joshua, he is now out in the cold with the wolfpack. Forget about it, idiot, coward, s–house, bodybuilder.”

“Always knew it, always knew he didn’t have the minerals to fight the Gypsy King. Regardless of what the f– you say now, I don’t really care. Good luck with your career and your life, end of, peace out.”

Fans were expecting Fury to come out of retirement after Usyk called him out, but since the Ukrainian star wants to take the rest of the year off, Fury decided to settle his feud with the fellow Brit first.

He proposed a contract to Hearn that included a 60/40 split in Fury’s favor, a 50/50 rematch clause and a proposed date of December 3 at the Principality Stadium.

Earlier, Hearn had indicated that he is also up for finalizing the deal by Monday, but it may take a few more days to ensure the inclusion of every demanded clause in the contract.
