UFC heavyweight Josh Hokit (9-0-0) will head to the UFC White House event on June 14 without the guidance of his head coach Greg Jackson, who has cited personal reasons for his depature.
“My coach Greg Jackson will not be coaching me on the White House fight for personal reasons… I don’t have a coach now… Will the ring girls corner me please? Tag them for me,” Hokit said
The coaching split comes after Hokit’s upset win over Curtis Blaydes at UFC 327 this month. Hokit secured a unanimous decision win, his fourth in the UFC. While it ended his three-fight knockout street, the performance was enough to boost his standing, having gotten a win over a ranked opponent. The victory was the catalyst for Hokit’s inclusion on the White House card against Derrick Lewis. Neither Hokit nor his management team have named a replacement coach.
