Holloway-Ortega Set For UFC 231

After rumors the fight would happen, TZN confirmed that Brian Ortega will finally get his chance to face featherweight champion Max Holloway at UFC 231.

The fight was set to be the co-main event for UFC 22, but Holloway would be pulled during fight week due to a health issue, and would put the much anticipated fight on hold.

For the third straight year, Holloway has had a title fight in the UFC’s early December pay per view, one of which being in Toronto the site of UFC 231, where he would win the interim featherweight title against Anthony Pettis in 2016.

This will be Holloway’s first fight since defeating Jose Aldo in the main event of UFC 218, where he would retain his title in a rematch against former featherweight champion Jose Aldo.
