Holm And Cyborg Have Fight Over USADA Testing

I’ve actually just wasted a minute of my life on this video.

A post shared by Holly Holm (@hollyholm) on

Late Monday night, UFC fighter Holly Holm posted this video, as well as two screenshots of the USADA website, to clear up any confusion regarding the amount of times she had been tested in 2017. Earlier that day Cris Cyborg took to her twitter page to attack Holm for not being tested the same amount of times as Cyborg had… Stating.

Prior to that, Cyborg tweeted a photo of a USADA coaster and claiming the drug testing organization recognized by the UFC made their third visit since September.

Cyborg would also claim that she is a “clean athlete” and wants the same amount of tests from that day until the alleged fight date of December 30th, to prove that both fighters are above board. These statements would cause the rebuttal by the former UFC champion and show that she in-fact has been tested more times in 2017 than Cyborg, nine times for Holm and eight for Cyborg.

Tuesday on her personal website, Cyborg posted a blog regarding this situation and her feelings on how she has been unfairly treated by USADA, Holm, and Holm’s training camp JacksonWink...

If I am woken up at 5am to test, then I want her being woken up at 5am to test the same amount of times.  This is not because “I think” she is using something, it is more because I want us to both be able to prove that we are clean when we step inside the cage, eliminating any excuses one might have following the fight.  Since we are both clean athlete’s I do not see why there should be any objection to agreeing on the same amount of tests being done during our training camps.  Some critics have pointed to my failed test 6 years ago as a reason for me to be more heavily tested, however I think the reputation of her home gym, and the opportunity for us to both prove we are competing clean is a better reason to agree that we will both be tested the EXACT SAME AMOUNT OF TIMES…WHILE WE ARE IN CAMP TO FIGHT EACH OTHER so that way after I beat her ass there will be no excuses from her team!

Cyborg also posted this video as well in response to Holm’s video.

While this fight is far from official, Cyborg continues to push Holm’s buttons and try to control the narrative of the MMA Media like she did on Monday, which lead many to believe this fight is a when more than an if.
