Holm Has Knee Surgery, Out Until 2019

After a win in June, Holly Holm will be out until 2019 due to undergoing knee surgery this week.

In a report from ESPN, Holm would go under the knife on Wednesday, as doctors would repair an injured meniscus. Per Holm’s agent Lenny Fresquez, the former bantamweight champion will need four weeks of recovery and looks to return in early 2019..

Holm defeated  Megan Anderson earlier this year at UFC 225, and is hoping for a fight against Amanda Nunes in the early portion of 2019 for Nunes’ bantamweight title.
