Holm’s Agent: Cyborg Fight Is Dead

According to MMA Fighting, any chance for Holm battling Cris Cyborg is currently on hold.

Lenny Fresquez, Holly Holm’s agent claims that the women’s featherweight title fight, which had been proposed for UFC 219 on Dec. 30 in Las Vegas, is “dead” as of earlier this week.

“Holly was anxiously awaiting the Dec. 30 fight with Cyborg… and had been training for it. But we could not come to financial terms for this featherweight title bout in December. We look forward to meeting her under the right circumstances.”

According to MMA Fighting’s sources, Justino is still hopeful to remain on the card, though her opponent is unknown at this time.

Justino won the vacant title in July when she defeated Tonya Evinger at UFC 214, while Holm snapped a three-fight losing streak in June with a knockout of Bethe Correia, who is out for the next two months due to eye surgery.
