Horn Open To Crawford-Pacquiao Rematches

Even though Jeff Horn lost his WBO welterweight title to Terence Crawford on June 9th, the Australian boxer feels like a rematch against the pound-for-pound king or Manny Pacquiao are on the table.

Horn’s trainer and mentor, Glenn Rushton is “confident we could turn the tables” in a rematch against Crawford, who bested Horn in nine rounds with a TKO win in Las Vegas. Rushton believes his fighter could win, especially if it was in Horn’s home country of Australia.

Also pushed forward by Horn’s trainer is a rematch against Manny Pacquiao, who Horn beat by a controversial decision in July of 2017. Pacquiao is set to face Lucas Matthysse in July, for Matthysse’s WBA title, but also has openly campaigned to face Vasyl Lomachenko in his next fight.

Horn’s promoter Dean Lonergan, refuted any idea of a fight with 43 year old Anthony Mundine, who  Lonergan claims is a “great talker in the media,” but Lonergan would rather Horn face a big name American fighter next.
