Horn Vs. Golovkin? Horn Vs. Canelo?

Jeff Horn is setting his sights high, about 160 pounds high.

The former welterweight world champion returns to the ring on Saturday night, and feels a win against Michael Zefara puts him in line for a December 23rd clast with WBA regular middleweight champion Ryota Murata.

This marks the second fight at middleweight for Horn, moving up from welterweight after losing his world title to Terence Crawford in 2018, and loves the fact that he doesn’t need to cut weight the way he did at welterweight.

“Last night I had an entree and had steak and was possibly even going to stay for dessert, but it was getting late so I had to leave,” he said.

“He’s done really well in his career, but he’s (been) fighting smaller dudes and I’m naturally a middleweight,” said Zerafa at this week’s press conference.

With a win not only does the former school teacher turned world champion hope to see Murata across the ring this Christmas, but Glenn Rushton, Horn’s trainer feels the top two names at 160-pounds will follow.

“If we can grab a middleweight world title, hopefully leverage that into a fight against Canelo or GGG (Golovkin),” Rushton said.
