Hrgovic Beats Joyce; Calls For Dubois Rematch

Filip Hrgovic handed Joe Joyce another loss, winning by a unanimous decision: 98-92, 97-93 and 96-95.

Hrgovic landed a massive right hand in the first round that shook Joyce. However, Hrgovic wasn’t without his own problems—he suffered a cut over his left eye that bled heavily as Joyce found success with his jab. As the fight went on, Hrgovic began to slow down in round four, and Joyce took advantage by upping his work rate. Hrgovic found his rhythm again after the halfway point, landing a flurry of punches in round eight. Joyce did well to get through round nine, as he made it through the ten-rounder. After the fight, Hrgovic called for a rematch with Dubois, while Joyce dismissed retirement rumors.
