Hughie Fury Vs Michael Hunter Is Set To Take Place On July 2 in Manchester

The heavyweight contenders Hughie Fury (26-3-0, 15 KOs) and Michael Hunter (20-1-2, 14 KOs) are set to battle for the final WBA title eliminator on July 2 at the AO Arena, Manchester.

According to the WBO, the winner of this fight battles against the winner of the upcoming June 11 WBA world heavyweight title fight between Trevor Bryan and Daniel Dubois.

No matter what the result is, we can expect that Fury and Hunter will give everything in this high-stakes crossroads fight. With the crowd looking forward to seeing the victor, you can expect fireworks and drama inside the ring.

Fury has been looking forward to his battle against Hunter, as he is focused on the second world shot since September 2017. Five years ago, the No.4 ranked fighter’s challenge for the WBO title ended in a critical loss to Joe Parker.

The British boxer was in top form last October when he forced rival Christian Hammer to retire after five rounds. This was Hammer’s first stoppage lost since 2015 when he lost to Hughie’s cousin, Tyson Fury.

“I take part in fights others don’t. Michael Hunter is an incredible fighter and found himself at the peak of his powers. These are the people I train all my life to fight against. I believe I am one of the biggest fighters in the world and I want to be successful in my fight against Hunter,” Fury said.
