Hurd Confident He Can Beat Charlo

It seems that Jarrett Hurd is more than confident heading into a potential unification fight with Jermell Charlo.

Hurd, who was watching Charlo’s majority decision victory over Austin Trout on Saturday night, claims via his Twitter account that Charlo would get dropped if he fought him like that.

Hurd feels that Trout had been the toughest opponent to date for Charlo, and that he wasn’t going to be able to knock Trout out.

Charlo, following his win on Saturday night, told Showtime’s Brian Custer that he’s ready to go after the  WBA and IBO super welterweight titles and Jarrett Hurd.

“Trout gonna tell you who gonna win that fight because if Hurd sit in front of me, if Hurd sit in front of me, it’s – Trout moved right now,” claimed Charlo.

That’s why he survived 12. But if Hurd stood in front of me and just take them shots, I guarantee you. I guarantee you [I beat him]. So yeah, I wanna unify. And I’ll do it right here in L.A.”
