Hurd-Williams Gains 2.1M Viewers On FOX
Julian Williams’ upset win over Jarrett Hurd outpaced the last effort for the PBC on FOX, as a peak audience of 2,108,100 watched on May 11th.
Per Nielsen Media Research, a total of 1,385,000 average viewers watched the three-hour broadcast of PBC on FOX from the EagleBank Arena in Fairfax,Virginia.
A combined average from FOX, FOX Deportes and the FOX Sports’ streaming services would shake out at 1,464,000 viewers.
Viewership rose 28 percent from FOX’s last show in April that saw a peak viewership of 1,468,000 for Danny Garcia’s seventh knockout of Adrian Granados.
Garcia-Granados averaged 1,391,000 viewers, while the entire broadcast only netted 1,082,000 viewers.
The stronger number also comes against direct competition from the opening game of the NHL western conference finals between the San Jose Sharks and St. Louis Blues (2,090,000 viewers), the NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Race (2,177,000), the UFC 237 Prelims (813,000), Bellator 221 on DAZN, and Top Rank’s broadcast (740,000).
