Ian Heinisch Out of UFC 250, Gerald Meerschaert To Remain On The Card
UFC 250 is in need of a new middleweight bout for its prelims.
According to MMA Fighting, Ian Heinisch will no longer be fighting Gerald Meerschaert at UFC 250 this weekend. The result of his absence is unknown.
Heinisch, who just recently signed a new four-fight deal with the UFC, is on a two-fight losing streak. After going 5-0 to start 2018, including three wins with the UFC, the 31-year-old lost to Derek Brunson at UFC 241 and Omari Akhmedov at UFC 245 back in December.
Meerschaert (30-12) is in need of a new opponent. “The Machine” last fought in March, beating Deron Winn via submission. He is 2-1 in his last three fights and 3-3 in his last six. The 32-year-old has 22 wins via submission. Meerschaert is currently waiting for someone to step up to take Heinisch’s place.
Everyone take a deep breath, you'll see me in the octagon Saturday 😎

UFC 250 takes place on June 6 from inside the UFC’s APEX Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. A ruling by the Nevada Athletic Commission allowed the promotion to return home. The main event is Amanda Nunes defending her UFC Featherweight Title against Felicia Spencer.
