Iaquinta Criticizes McGregor For Tapping To Khabib
Al Iaquinta gives his thoughts on Conor McGregor’s performance against Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Although Iaquinta isn’t fighting at UFC 230, he was in attendance for the event and talked with the media for a bit. During the impromptu media scrum, Iaquinta was asked about McGregor’s loss and said the former UFC lightweight champion shouldn’t have talked as much as he did in the buildup to the fight against Nurmagomedov at UFC 229 only to tap out in the fourth round like he did.
“I was watching that fight and I was like, ‘Ah you f*cking p*ssy, you talk all that sh*t.’ You gotta just die in there, you can’t tap. Even if you got your neck cranked, if you talk all that and you lose… I just hope and pray I never go out like that,” Iaquinta said.

It was only the second time in McGregor’s pro career in which he submitted in a fight with the first time being in the first encounter against Nate Diaz back in 2016.
Iaquinta is currently scheduled to fight Kevin Lee in a lightweight bout in the main event of UFC on FOX 31, taking place on December 15 with the winner putting themselves in a good position to challenge for the UFC title currently being held by Nurmagomedov.
