‘I’m In The UFC! Oh My God’: Jake Hadley On Cloud Nine After Earning UFC Contract

MMA prodigy Jake Hadley (8-0) has had a topsy-turvy journey to the UFC, but he’s happy to become part of the organization at the age of 25.

The flyweight submitted Mitch Raposo with a rear-naked choke in Round 2 on his last week’s appearance on the Dana White’s Contender Series.

The UFC president had no other option to rope Hadley in after his display.

Although, the UFC matchmakers did not want Dana White to sign him because Hadley had missed his weight, but the UFC president knows that Hadley has what it takes to become a juggernaut of the UFC’s flyweight division.

“I was told Sean [Shelby] and others were not happy with me, but I just saw something in the kid. I know I broke my own rules and upset them too,” White said in a post-fight press conference.

In the presser, Hadley said it was his childhood dream to become a UFC fighter. The flyweight had previously been at Bellator, Cage Warriors and EFC, dominating all the three divisions since turning pro.

“I’m in the UFC! Oh my God! That’s something I’ve been dreaming about before I even started training [MMA],” he said. “I was willing to die in there. People ask for meaning in life… My meaning is to fight.”
