Is Anthony Joshua Looking For New Trainer? Pictured In U.S. With Canelo Alvarez, Eddy Reynoso

The recent dethroned champion, Anthony Joshua, has been reported to getting acquainted with notable U.S. gyms after his shocking display against Oleksandr Usyk last month.

Canelo Alvarez is no stranger to the boxing world and has been seen hanging out with AJ amid rumors that the latter is considering changing his trainers.

AJ was seen in Hayward, California visiting Joshua Buatsi in Virgil Hunter’s gym. He also put up a Snapchat highlighting the presence of the former Olympic super heavyweight gold medalist, Tony Yoka in the gym.

Recent reports say the Brit was seen wearing the cap with the manifesto “No Boxing No Life” — the brand of Alvarez and trainer Eddy Reynoso.

Later that day, boxing brothers Ronald and Rashidi Ellis also posted pictures on Instagram confirming the presence of Joshua in San Diego, California.

The headlines were dominated, when a video conquered the social media showing the pound-for-pound king Canelo Alvarez hanging out with Anthony Joshua, ahead of his showdown against Caleb Plant on November 6.

“I am a quick learner,” Joshua said as both Usyk and the Brit confirmed the upcoming rematch in February or March 2022.

The British boxer was not only outpaced but his technique and tactical approach seemed weary against a much decisive and emphatic Usyk. At the end, many were left questioning his tactical approach as he attempted to outbox the smaller technical genius with his rag-tag approach.

Questions have been looming around his training team seemingly led by Rob McCracken and potential changes are likely to be on the cards.

When AJ was surprisingly beaten by Andy Ruiz Jr back in 2019, similar tactical flaws were observed by the viewers, but the Brit fought back, reclaiming his throne.

AJ stood firmly behind McCracken; he even added Angel Fernandez and Joby Clayton to his team instead. Together, they fought their way out of the ruins and defeated Ruiz comprehensively.

The same team guided AJ over a resounding victory over Kubrat Pulev, but apparently, had no answers to Usyk fighting prowess.

Amid all this hype, the world of boxing awaits, for glory to be regained or for a new chapter to begin.
