Is Nate Diaz Signing With RIZIN?

He left the UFC in November.

Former UFC fighter Nate Diaz may have given away his next MMA venue in a recent social media post.

At UFC 279, Diaz faced Tony Ferguson and won by submission, completing his UFC contract. In the months before the bout, he and UFC management were at differences over his contract, and he even made a public request for release.

Diaz has several alternatives for his upcoming combat sports move now that he is a free agent. He and Jake Paul may engage in a boxing contest. However, an MMA fight is also possible.

Diaz also has shown interest in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitions, but as he said on Thursday, he might still need to finish mixed martial arts.

Combat promoters Bellator, Bare Knuckle FC and others have indicated an interest in offering Diaz contracts. RIZIN hasn’t made any public comments that would suggest a deal for Diaz, but he recently gave a hint that says otherwise.

In a recent cross-promotional event Bellator vs. RIZIN, Bellator dominated. Shutting out the opposing promotion 5-0, prominent celebrities like Patricio “Pitbull” Freire and AJ McKee nabbed victories that night.

Diaz left the UFC in November. He fought out his contract in September with a win over Tony Ferguson – his first fight in over a year.

Before parting ways, Diaz also applied for a promoter’s license for Real Fight, Inc.
