Isaac Cruz Faces Change Of Opponent On Pacquiao-Barrios Card

Isaac Cruz vs. Angel Fierro is off after the latter withdrew with health issues related to the 140-pound weight cut.

Cruz, who was set to rematch Fierro in a super lightweight showdown after winning their first fight on the Pacquiao-Barrios card, will now face Omar Salcido Gamez. Fierro reportedly had health issues and was told to go to the hospital instead. Meanwhile, Gamez was originally on course to face Brian Gallegos, but now he faces arguably the toughest test of his career. Gomez secured his biggest win over Chris Colbert, only to then lose his last fight against Andy Cruz. The change of event was the second time this week after Austin Williams vs. Etinosa Oliha was called off from the Jesse “Bam” Rodriguez vs. Phumelele Cafu undercard due to Oliha pulling out with an eye injury.
