Cruz has been calling for the Davis rematch since his unanimous decision loss. The defeat did not tell the whole story, as Cruz was lauded for his efforts. He avoided being stopped, unlike 27 of Tank’s other opponents. He also managed to walk Davis down and land on the inside occasionally. After the fight, Davis claimed his hand was injured, which explained Cruz’s success. Davis ruled out the rematch initially, but his trainer, Calvin Ford, was open to it.
That appears unlikely, with Davis being linked with bigger fights. Fights against Devin Haney and the Ryan Garcia rematch have been mentioned. PBC’s new deal with Amazon Prime Video has put Davis in the conversation to headline their first PPV, which does not appear to be Cruz, making Garcia the next target.
“This video is to clarify my next match in April. I would like to fight Ryan Garcia. I want to emphasize that both I and Ryan want the fight. “Our managers agree, and our promoters also agree. Everyone also agrees this is a great fight. The only reason this fight isn’t happening and the negotiations aren’t finished is because of Lupe Valencia.
“They haven’t agreed for it to take place. Both Ryan and I are ready and focused for the fight. The reason Guadalupe Valencia doesn’t want this fight is because of his confidence in his fighter and is looking for an easy fight.I am here to bring trouble for his career. To everyone, Isaac Cruz is ready to beat him in the ring,” Cruz said
Garcia’s focus is elsewhere. He is in talks to face Rolando Romero for the WBA junior welterweight belt, ruling out the Haney fight. Cruz fights at 135 pounds, meaning he must move up to 140. But since he has no belts, Garcia has nothing to gain from fighting him. Based on previous talks, Garcia blamed Cruz’s team for a fight not happening.
“If anyone wanted the full interview, this is Isaac Cruz manager [Sean Gibbons] making an excuse after excuse on why he can’t, no mention on how we can figure something out,” said Ryan Garcia on Twitter. “I’m very frustrated. I’m trying to get this fight done, and I see this interview. There’s a way, and they simply don’t want to do it. I tried to give you guys a fight that you wanted. It’s not in my hands anymore,” Ryan Garcia stated
Why is he calling out Ryan knowing he is at 140 and is boutta fight rolly then hopefully Dev. Seems like a desperate payday callout from Cruz

Isaac Cruz has to fight other highly ranked fighters in 135 instead of calling out Ryan. He has wasted his time dodging tough fights just to get the tank Davis payday.

Issac Cruz is the most badly advice boxer ever. He refused so many fights in chase of Tank.
