Islam Makhachev Vs. Ian Garry Announced For UFC 330

UFC welterweight champion Islam Makhachev (28-1) will make the first defense of his 170-pound title against no. 1-ranked Ian Garry (17-1) in the main event of UFC 330 on August 15 at Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Makhachev vacated his lightweight belt and moved up to capture the welterweight title from Jack Della Maddalena at UFC 322 last November to become a double champion. He currently sits tied with Anderson Silva at 16 for the longest win streak in UFC history. Garry bounced back from a decision loss to Shavkat Rakhmonov with back-to-back victories over Carlos Prates and former champion Belal Muhammad in November 2025 to earn the title shot.

In the co-main event, strawweight champion Mackenzie Dern (16-5) puts her 115-pound belt on the line against No. 5-ranked Gillian Robertson (17-8). Dern claimed the title vacated by Zhang Weili with a victory over Virna Jandiroba at UFC 321 in October 2025. Robertson arrives on a five-fight winning streak, most recently beating Amanda Lemos by unanimous decision in March.
