Israel Adesanya Hurls Nasty Personal Dig At Jon Jones
UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya has got some saying he has gone too far with the Jon Jones beef.
Adesanya and Jones have been going back-and-forth for over a year now. It all started when Adesanya said he was “hunting another GOAT” in Jones after defeating Anderson Silva. Jones dared Adesanya to “come f*ck with the king of the jungle.” Since that exchange, the beef between these two has only escalated.
Following his UFC 253 victory over Paulo Costa, Adesanya told reporters that he still plans to “f*ck up” Jones despite the plans for “Bones” to move up to the heavyweight division. Jones responded with a scathing warning to “The Last Stylebender” on social media.
“But what? You’ve stepped into the ring over 100 times now and you’re still not ready!? You have a youth advantage and like four times the fighting experience. The truth is you’re already my p*ssy, you love being undefeated and you’ve seen what’s happened to everyone else. It raises your stock to mention my name, you’re aware of this. You don’t want real confrontation with me, I’m not gonna just stand there and kickbox with you. I’ve been preparing for heavyweights, right around now I would literally tear one of your arms off.”
Never one to hold his tongue, Adesanya had a response for Jones but this time things got brutally personal. Adesanya referenced Jones’ mother, Camille Jones, who passed away in 2017.
My pops already told me how I’d beat you. Trust me he knows.
Your mom would be disappointed in who you’ve become. https://t.co/CGGykYXSNn— Israel Adesanya (@stylebender) October 1, 2020
“My pops already told me how I’d beat you. Trust me he knows. Your mom would be disappointed in who you’ve become.”
The comment from Adesanya has already got MMA fans and media members talking. Many have expressed their belief that Adesanya went too far. The UFC Middleweight Champion has responded by saying that Jones made things personal first and he’s simply retaliating because he won’t take things lying down (click on the image in the tweet for his response to the backlash).
So to get ahead of all the bullshit coming. My statement below.
Lol if Jones has this much knowledge about the fight game and fame game he woulda known not to run back to the car to get the money and coke. Dumbass. pic.twitter.com/pJnNTGqsNV— Israel Adesanya (@stylebender) October 1, 2020
