Israel Adesanya Vs. Jared Cannonier Scheduled For UFC 276
One of the most dominant UFC champions, Israel Adesanya, will defend his belt against a new opponent.
Adesanya will share the octagon with Jared Cannonier at UFC 276, making his fourth title defense.
In his last two fights, Adesanya defended his belt in a rematch against Robert Whittaker and Marvin Vettori – both of which he was victorious in.
Cannonier, meanwhile, is on a two-fight winning streak.
In his last six fights, he earned five victories. He defeated Derek Brunson in his latest fight by TKO in the second round but suffered the only loss against Whittaker, who had already tested his chances for the second time against Adesanya, “The Last Stylebender.”
UFC 276 is already looking like a stacked card, according to fans.
The headliners will be Adesanya and Cannonier. In the co-main event, featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski will try to defeat Max Holloway for the third time and defend his belt for the second time against the “Blessed” one. On the other hand, Holloway will try to prove that he is the better one and dethrone “The Great.”
Alex Pereira and Sean Strickland will meet in a three-round fight.
Pereira is one of the most experienced strikers, having two-weight category championship belts in Glory Kickboxing. Strickland is a way more experienced MMA fighter with boxing skills.
Sean O’Malley will finally shoot his shot at bantamweight’s top 10. He will face Pedro Munhoz, who is not on a perfect streak.
