Jacobs Looks To Expose Arias On 11-11
Former middleweight champion Daniel Jacobs is looking for a measure of redemption on November 11th, when he faces the undefeated Luis Arias at NYCB LIVE, home of the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York.
Jacobs is coming off a close twelve round decision loss to middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin from back in March, and looking to make an impression following a deal with not only Matchroom Boxing, but HBO as well with a multi-fight contract.
Jacobs strongly believes that Arias is out of his element and plans to expose the undefeated fighter.
“He has to be super human to beat me and I will be his kryptonite. I don’t think he has the mentality. He talks a lot of trash but when you go in there it’s a different story. Yeah, you can make it sound good outside the ring – you can trash talk and you can try and hype yourself up but it’s a totally different story once you get inside that ring – you get hit then you realize you are in there with a totally different caliber of fighter.”
“I am elite compared to the caliber of opponents he has fought in his professional career. He talks about the amateurs but you can’t talk about amateurs and I don’t know why he’s highlighting his amateur career. I mean, when do we highlight amateur fights at this level – it really doesn’t mean anything now. There are levels to this game and I am going to show him that on November 11.”
