Jacobs-Sulecki Reaches 874K Viewers

Daniel Jacobs’ victory on Saturday night against Maciej Sulecki, brought an average of 811,000 viewers to HBO on Saturday night.

The fight would see Jacobs win by unanimous decision against Sulecki, would yield a peak viewership of 874,000 viewers per a report from ESPN. And while the fight was considered to be a touch lackluster, it would be the second most watched fight of the year, trailing Showtime’s broadcast of the Deontay Wilder and Luis Ortiz fight from March 3rd. Wilder’s come from behind KO victory averaged 1.055 million viewers, with a peak audience of 1.181 million.

In a good sign for the drawing power of up and coming heavyweight Jarrell  Miller, “Big Baby’s” unanimous decision win against Johan Duhapas averaged 706,000 viewers on HBO, with a peak of 834,000 watching the opening contest of the broadcast on April 28th.
