Jaime Munguia Drops D’Mitrius Ballard In Third Round

Jaime Munguia has gotten one step closer to a shot at the middleweight title belt, and it only took him three rounds.

Munguia (39-0, 31 KOs) dropped D’Mitrius Ballard (21-1, 13 KOs) by TKO within 1:47 minutes in the third round.

“We’re ready for those title shots,” Munguia said after his win.

Not much happened in the first round aside from some jabs and body shots from both boxers.

Then, in the second, it seemed that Munguia already his opponent figured out, landing big left hands throughout the round and a four-punch combination.

In the third round, a triple jab made Ballard stumble towards the ropes. Munguia kept firing, which didn’t take too long to send Ballard to the mat.

Ballard made it to his feet, but he continued to get pummeled, forcing the referee to wave off the fight.
