Jaime Munguia vs. Maciej Sulecki Rescheduled For June 19

There is a new date for Jaime Munguia vs. Maciej Sulecki.

Munguia vs. Sulecki was initially set to take place on April 23. Sulecki ended up suffering an injury. D’Mitrius Ballard was going to be a replacement opponent but he also got hurt. Ultimately, the rescheduling of Munguia vs. Sulecki was decided on.

The bout will now take place on June 19. It’ll take place inside the Don Haskins Center in El Paso, Texas.

In a press release, Golden Boy Promotions’ Oscar De La Hoya expressed his joy in the rescheduling of the bout.

“Although there have been several changes, we are happy because things are back on track for Jaime Munguia’s return. I’m confident that he will deliver a tremendous performance against Maciej Sulecki and show everyone why he deserves an opportunity to become a two-division world champion.”

Munguia also chimed in, saying that he expects an exciting matchup against Sulecki.

“I feel very excited to be returning on June 19th. I know it will be a tremendous fight against Maciej Sulecki. I think he is a great fighter, and I will make sure to deliver a great fight to all the fans..”
