Jake Paul Agrees To Nate Diaz’s Proposal For A 10-Round Boxing Match
Jake Paul has agreed to Nate Diaz’s request for a 10-round boxing match, subject to the approval of the Texas Combative Sports Program, according to ESPN’s Marc Raimondi.
The duo are set to square off in a mega-crossover event on August 5th, 2023, live from Dallas. The bout was initially scheduled as an 8-rounder at cruiserweight, but the ex-UFC star has now upped the stakes.
Nate Diaz has requested his fight with Jake Paul be extended from eight rounds to 10 rounds and Paul has agreed to the change, both teams confirmed with ESPN. They are now waiting on approval from the Texas Combative Sports Program. #PaulDiaz

This is despite the fact that Diaz has never boxed professionally, while MMA rounds consist of five rounds at five minutes apiece.
Similarly, the most that Paul has boxed has been eight rounds, which is why the conditions will pose a test for both fighters.
But rather than shy away from the challenge, Paul welcomed it with open arms.
Nate Diaz wants 10 rounds. I guess he has good cardio. Ok Nathan, 10 rounds it is.

Both fighters will have something to prove, as Paul will be hoping to bounce back from his split-decision loss against Tommy Fury in his last fight.
Meanwhile, question marks remain over Diaz since he last fought in September 2022 when he beat Tony Ferguson at UFC 279 and then left the UFC.
