Jake Paul Gets Past Anderson Silva’s Challenge With Decision Victory
The Problem Child had to work hard to get over the line as he faced resilient Brazilian, Anderson Silva on Saturday at the Desert Arena in Glendale, Arizona.
With this win, the 25-year-old social media influencer turned boxer improved his record to 6-0. Paul looked much more compact throughout the fight, out-landing Silva with his power shots. Paul took home scores of 77-74 and 78-73 (twice) against the 47-year-old Silva, the former UFC middleweight champion.

Paul had the upper hand during the whole bout, making sure that he gives no sniff to Silva who is surely capable of springing up the magic. Silva did manage to steal a couple of rounds in between by rallying to back Paul up in the final 30 seconds with power shots. But it was the Problem Child who got away with a unanimous decision victory at the end of the night.
After the fight, Paul lauded Silva for taking up the fight and insisted that he is working his way up every time he steps in the ring.
“It’s a surreal moment. Hard work pays off,” Paul said.
“I want to say thank you to Anderson. He was my idol growing up and he inspired me to be great. Without him, we wouldn’t have a fight this year. He’s a tough mofo, like for real. I have a lot of respect for him.”

Silva was gracious in the defeat and is determined to continue his toil as he has been doing in the past two decades.
“I worked hard to do a special show for everybody here,” Silva said.
“I say thank you for everyone to come. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose but I continue training hard because I was born for this.”
