Jake Paul Says He Is A Bigger Name Than Conor McGregor

Jake Paul has claimed that he is a bigger star than Conor McGregor.

Paul has reinvented himself from a YouTuber to a professional boxer. He is preparing to face Andre August on December 15th, 2023, for his third fight of the year. The Problem Child’s last two fights were mega-events. The fight with Tommy Fury reportedly sold over 800,000 PPVs. The Nate Diaz fight allegedly brought in 450,000 PPVs.

McGregor’s last fight was back in 2021, a loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. The Irishman is preparing for his comeback, which is expected to be against Michael Chandler in 2024. McGregor may be a former two-weight world champion, but there are questions over whether he can get back to his best. The Notorious has lost three out of his last four fights. Paul sees himself as bigger than McGregor.

“McGregor would be pretty freaking massive and entertaining and fun. I would beat his a**. He won’t fight me. At this point it’s funny how it went from me calling him out and that seeming crazy to now me being bigger in the sport than he is. And him knowing my skill level is greater than his in such a short amount of time. Life’s crazy,” Paul said

The duo had been linked with a fight after Paul reportedly offered $50 million. It failed to materialize as Paul moved on to other opponents. The chances of it happening are slim since Paul is under the PFL banner while McGregor is with the UFC. But if the money is right, the Irishman has shown he is willing to crossover, as the Floyd Mayweather fight proved.
