Jake Paul Trolled For Fighting Nate Diaz-‘Got His A** Kicked, An Almost 40 Non-Boxer’

Former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping has not been left surprised by Jake Paul’s choice of opponent, Nate Diaz, since it mirrors his tendency to fight aged, non-professional boxers.

On August 5th, 2023, in Dallas, Paul faces Diaz in a monster crossover clash at 185 lbs, following the former’s split-decision loss to Tommy Fury.

While the bout is no doubt generating interest, Diaz has not participated in any fights since beating Tony Ferguson in the UFC via submission.

With that being said, Bisping downplayed Paul’s caliber of opposition.

In his comments, he said: “He stepped up against Tommy and he got his a** kicked. Let’s be honest. Maybe not kicked, he got beat bloody fair and square.

“[Diaz] is not a boxer, he’s almost 40 years old. He’s got a great submission game, you can’t use that. But the hands of Nate Diaz, they’re good. You can’t deny that.

“Listen, I’m not hating on Jake Paul, but this is the pattern, this is the flow. It’s an almost 40 non-boxer.”

Much in the same way, the ongoing verbal battle between Carl Froch and Jake Paul persisted following the former’s response to the Diaz fight. And by the looks of it, he was far from impressed.

Although some may view Froch’s remarks as severe, they echo a feeling held by many. When Paul stepped up to face a professional boxer, he lost to Tommy Fury while forgoing the rematch.

And this sentiment was evident on social media.
