October reportedly got another boxing match booked – this time with Jake Paul.
Paul will fight former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva in a Showtime pay-per-view main event on October 29, according to NoSmokeBoxing, which was later confirmed by TMZ with sources.
Neither a location nor venue was specified.
Paul has been seeking a new opponent after bouts with Tommy Fury and Hasim Rahman Jr fell apart earlier this month.
Fury was reportedly denied entry to the U.S. while Rahman requested a contracted weight change just days before the fight, forcing Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions to cancel the event altogether.
Most Valuable Promotions teased the fight on Twitter and said that Paul would “almost certainly be the underdog.”
Next week we will announce JAKE PAUL’s next opponent. @jakepaul will almost certainly be the underdog. He knows that and he wants that.

Paul (5-0) has yet to lose in his professional boxing career. He’s recorded a knockout over Ben Askren and one decision and one knockout against Tyron Woodley – both of whom are former UFC champions.
The YouTuber-turned-boxer has faced criticisms because he has yet to face a boxer who did not come from MMA. Fury would have been the first professional boxer.
Silva (3-1) is another former UFC star, but he has found success in his new career.
The 47-year-old won two boxing matches in 2021. He walked away with a split decision against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr after eight rounds and brutally knocked out former UFC champion Tito Ortiz in just under one and a half minutes.
