Jake Paul Will Face Mike Tyson In Historic Netflix Boxing Showdown

Jake Paul will face Mike Tyson in a boxing bout that will air live on Netflix.

The fight will occur on July 20 from the AT&T Stadium, Texas, home of the Dallas Cowboys. Netflix and Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) will combine to hold the event. While this will be Netflix’s first live boxing fight, both men have appeared on the streaming service. Tyson appeared in the ‘Untold: Deal with the Devil,’ while Paul starred in his ‘Jake Paul the Problem Child’ documentary last year. It is unclear if this is an exhibition or a professional bout.

This is not the first time Paul and Tyson have appeared on a boxing card. Paul was on the undercard of Tyson’s last fight with Roy Jones Jr, an exhibition which ended in a draw. Paul knocked out Nate Robinson in the second round, which was his second boxing bout. Since then, Paul has resorted to fighting professional boxers.

In his last two fights, he stopped Andre August and Ryan Bourland in first-round KOs. This fight will likely bring in Paul’s boxing fans, especially since it will not be on PPV. Tyson will also attract a huge audience, given it is another chance to see the former Undisputed Heavyweight Champion.

“It’s crazy to think that in my second pro fight, I went viral for knocking out Nate Robinson on Mike Tyson’s undercard. Now, less than four years later, I’m stepping up to face Tyson myself to see if I have what it takes to beat one of boxing’s most notorious fighters and biggest icons. Within just two and a half years of founding MVP, we’re about to produce the biggest fight in history,” Paul

“I’m very much looking forward to stepping into the ring with Jake Paul at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. He’s grown significantly as a boxer over the years, so it will be a lot of fun to see what the will and ambition of a ‘kid’ can do with the experience and aptitude of a GOAT. It’s a full circle moment that will be beyond thrilling to watch; as I started him off on his boxing journey on the undercard of my fight with Roy Jones and now I plan to finish him,” Tyson
