Jamahal Hill Takes Out Thiago Santos In Fourth Round
Jamahal Hill is inching closer to a title shot.
Hill took out veteran Thiago Santos by TKO at 2:31 minutes of the fourth round of their light heavyweight contest.
The rising contender took advantage of Santos when he ran out of steam by the fourth round.
“I expected him to come in and shoot [for takedowns],” Hill said via ESPN.
“I’m a hard person to stand with. He mixed it up pretty well.”
There were ten bouts on the card, and all of them ended up via submission or knockout. It was a historical event in the modern era of the UFC. It’s the second time fans saw finishes in all the bouts.
Such a thing happened in 2014, at UFC Fight Night 55 – Rockhold vs. Bisping 1. Sam Alvey participated in that card and Saturday night’s.
Unfortunately for him, he ended up with a victory only in 2014. This time around, he suffered a TKO loss. He is on an eight-fight losing streak.
In the co-main event, Vicente Luque suffered a knockout loss against Geoff Neal. In the third round, he could not handle his bombs on Neal and went down after several demolishing punches.
Mohammed Usman, the brother of the UFC welterweight champion, Kamaru, won the TUF final and earned the UFC contract. These are the first brothers in the UFC who managed and won the TUF finals.
