Jan Blachowicz Responds To UFC 259 Commentary

Jan Blachowicz has addressed the commentary for his UFC 259 main event against Israel Adesanya.

On March 6, Blachowicz put the UFC Lightweight Championship on the line against middleweight ruler Adesanya. The bout went the distance and Jan’s ability to avoid danger in the stand-up, as well as his grappling, were the deciding factors. Blachowicz emerged victorious via unanimous decision.

Some fans expressed their displeasure with the commentary team. Cormier responded to those gripes by strongly disagreeing with the notion that he was being biased in favor of Adesanya.

Blachowicz has formulated enough opinions to draw his own conclusion. Here’s what the light heavyweight king told MMAFighting.com.

“They don’t see me in this fight, they just see Israel. But I don’t know, I don’t care. Maybe they are friends and that’s why. What can I do? Nothing. But anyway, that was not a problem. It is true, I haven’t watched the fight yet.”

The Polish bruiser went on to say that he isn’t paying too much attention to the hoopla.

“I don’t care. He do what he do, he has to live with that, not me. I am just happy. I defend my belt. I am and still the champion. So everything good can happen right now. Nothing can change my happiness inside me. I don’t care.”

Blachowicz is riding a five-fight winning streak. He hasn’t suffered a loss since February 2019. It’s likely that his next title challenger will be Glover Teixeira. Blachowicz has said he’d like to take some time off before making another title defense.
