Jared Anderson Vs. Vladimir Tereshkin Booked As Fury Vs. Wilder III Undercard
Jared Anderson has been handed the pay-per-view debut against Vladimir Tereshkin. The heavyweight will open the proceedings for the Fury versus Wilder III at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on October 9.
Anderson, 21, has been a star in the making. He also helped Tyson Fury with sparring for the second showdown against Deontay Wilder. The heavyweight has been training with former world title contender Bryant Jennings and fellow heavyweight prospect Efe Ajagba in Houston.
A showdown against Russia’s Tereshkin will be the toughest challenge of his pro career. The Ohio-native has been unbeaten so far, winning all nine fights. He’s coming off a win against Jeremiah Karpency this April.
Anderson is known for his vicious haymakers, something that makes him like Wilder. None of his fights have gone to decision, thanks to his early knockout blows. He is back in Sin City where he is wrapping up the training camp with coaches Darrie Riley and Kay Koroma.
Meanwhile, Vladimir Tereshkin (22-0-1) is a far more experienced fighter than his American counterpart. The 33-year-old Russian heavyweight last stopped Francisco Silvens in the 2019 clash. He turned professional in 2007 when Anderson was Anderson was just eight.
