According to Mike Coppinger, Jared Anderson will headline in his hometown of Toledo, Ohio, against Zhan Kossobutskiy on July 1st, 2023.
Anderson is one of the heavyweight division’s up-and-coming fighters, as shown by his last performance.
He beat George Arias with a third-round TKO, as the latter quit on the stool after the towel was thrown in. And the performance was even more impressive in light of the circumstances.
His 2022 had been plagued by injury, which restricted him to just two bouts. However, this year has seen the heavyweight deliver on the biggest stage as his win over Arias occurred on the Shakur Stevenson vs Shuichiro Yoshino card.
And following his performance, he put the whole division on notice by demanding the biggest names.

“I’m the best heavyweight in the world. I don’t give a f— what nobody is talking about. You hear me? I made that look easy man because he helped me make it look easy.
“He wasn’t throwing punches for real. I kept my defense right. My jab was on point. It was an easy night.
“I want those top names. I want those top contenders. Everybody who keeps calling people out, put my name on the list now. I’m not ducking. I’m not running. And you goin’ to catch this smoke,” Anderson
But in his way is Kossobutskiy. And at the age of 29, Kossobutskiy knows that a win could throw his name into the mix for some of the biggest fights out there.
Jared "Big Baby" Anderson and Zhan Kossobutskiy will meet in a battle of undefeated heavyweights on July 1 in Toledo, Ohio, sources told @MikeCoppinger.

With that being said, there is plenty on the line for both fighters.
