Jared Cannonier Vs. Sean Strickland Headlines Last UFC Event Of 2022

It’s official.

Jared Cannonier and Sean Strickland will go head-to-head and cap off UFC’s events for the year. It’ll take place on December 17 in Las Vegas, UFC President Dana White confirmed.

Strickland (12-4) was knocked out in his last bout at UFC 276 against rising contender Alex Pereira. That was his first loss that snapped a six-fight winning streak.

Cannonier (8-6) is also looking to return to the winning column after suffering a title-fight loss to Israel Adesanya on the headliner of that card at UFC 276 in July.

Strickland and Cannonier were originally set to fight in a UFC Fight Night main event on October 15, but an infection on one of Strickland’s fingers cancelled the bout.
