Jaron Ennis Ready To Take Radzhab Butaev Fight ‘In A Heartbeat’
Jaron Ennis has called out a bunch of big names for his next fight, but he seemed to be more focus on newly-crowned WBA world welterweight champ, Radzhab Butaev.
After beating Thomas Dulorme on Saturday night via first-round knockout, Ennis said he wouldn’t mind sharing the ring with WBC champ Errol Spence Jr, Yordenis Ugas or the winner of the next Terence Crawford-Shawn Porter fight.
Speaking about Butaev, Ennis said: “Hopefully, we’ll take that in a heartbeat – anywhere, any time.”
Butaev beat Jamal James in a one-sided contest to win the new belt in the ninth round. Ennis was also watching the fight and seemed impressed with Butaev’s display.
“Yeah, I watched a little bit of it,” Ennis said.
“Typical, you know, fighter that comes straightforward. Tailor-made for my style. But good fighter. But it looked like Jamal James was drained and couldn’t really do nothing. So, who knows? He a good fighter, but it’s levels. I’m on a whole different level right now. And they know how I’m coming.”
Both Butaev and Ennis are unbeaten in their respective careers so far.
